2005 - 2006 LEGISLATURE
SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1,
TO 2005 SENATE BILL 238
February 28, 2006 - Offered by Senator Reynolds.
SB238-SSA1,1,2 1An Act to amend 347.25 (3) of the statutes; relating to: vehicles operated in a
2funeral procession.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Current law generally prohibits any vehicle from being equipped with a
flashing light. An exception to this prohibition permits the lead vehicle or a
motorcycle escort in a funeral procession to be equipped with a flashing amber light,
but the light may be used only when the vehicle is used as a lead vehicle or escort in
the funeral procession.
This substitute amendment allows any vehicle being operated in or as an escort
to a funeral procession to be equipped with a flashing amber light, but the light may
be used only in the funeral procession.
