SB505-SA2,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
SB505-SA2,1,2 21. Page 3, line 15: delete lines 15 to 19 and substitute:
SB505-SA2,1,4 3"101.615 (2m) (a) In this subsection, "inspection agency" means a municipality,
4as defined in s. 101.651 (1), a county, or the department.
SB505-SA2,1,105 (b) A dwelling is exempt from all construction and inspection standards, rules,
6orders, codes, and regulations that are adopted, promulgated, enforced, and
7administered by the department under this subchapter and from all enforcement
8and inspection ordinances and other regulations that are enacted and enforced by
9the department, a county, or a municipality under s. 101.651 (1) if all of the following
10are satisfied:".
SB505-SA2,1,11 112. Page 4, line 4: after that line insert:
SB505-SA2,2,5 12"(am) Before beginning construction on a dwelling, or on an addition to a
13dwelling, an owner claiming the exemption under par. (b) shall file a notice of

1exemption with the inspecting agency that would be responsible for inspecting the
2construction. The owner shall pay a fee to file this notice in an amount equal to the
3building permit fee or any other fee that the owner would pay to the municipality to
4proceed with the construction if the owner was not filing a notice of exemption under
5this paragraph.".
