SENATE AMENDMENT 2, TO 2005 SENATE BILL 535

SB535-SA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB535-SA2,1,3 1. Page 1, line 1: delete "reimbursement and" and substitute "reimbursement,".

SB535-SA2,1,5 2. Page 1, line 3: after "fund" insert "requiring a report, and authorizing appropriation decreases".

SB535-SA2,1,6 3. Page 1, line 4: before that line insert:

SB535-SA2,1,7 " Section 1d. Nonstatutory provisions.

SB535-SA2,1,9 (1) Report by department of administration; action by joint committee on finance.

SB535-SA2,2,2 (a) By June 30, 2006, the department of administration shall submit to the joint committee on finance a report specifying proposed reductions for state fiscal year 2006-07 in specific appropriations to any board, commission, department, or the University of Wisconsin System, or to any other state agency or activity for general program operations or for programs that, in the aggregate, would decrease general program revenues funding by $50,000,000.

SB535-SA2,2,7 (b) The joint committee on finance may, under the procedures specified under section 13.10 of the statutes, approve or modify the report under paragraph (a) and may reduce accordingly, by $50,000,000 in the aggregate, any appropriation made to any board, commission, department, or the University of Wisconsin System, or to any other state agency or activity.

SB535-SA2,2,10 (c) The secretary of administration may not under this section release or draw a warrant in payment of any amount exceeding the reduced appropriations under paragraph (b).".
