SB537-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB537-SA1,1,2 1. Page 3, line 19: after that line insert:

SB537-SA1,1,3 " Section 1m. 980.08 (5m) of the statutes is created to read:

SB537-SA1,1,5 980.08 (5m) (a) In this subsection, "local governmental unit" means a city, village, or town in which a person on supervised release is placed.

SB537-SA1,1,9 (b) Notwithstanding sub. (5), if the court approves both placements and if both local governmental units consent, any local governmental unit may exchange with another local governmental unit one person on supervised release for one other person on supervised release for any of the following reasons:

SB537-SA1,1,11 1. To avoid placing a sexually violent person near a victim of that person's sexually violent offense.

SB537-SA1,2,2 2. To accommodate a placement with a spouse, parent, or adult sibling of the sexually violent person.".
