SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2005 SENATE BILL 580

SB580-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB580-SA1,1,3 1. Page 1, line 10: after "children," insert "grants to nonprofit organizations providing services to victims of sexual assault,".

SB580-SA1,1,4 2. Page 3, line 1: before that line insert:

SB580-SA1,1,5 " Section 1g. 16.964 (11) of the statutes is created to read:

SB580-SA1,1,12 16.964 (11) From the appropriation under s. 20.505 (6) (gj), the office shall provide grants to nonprofit organizations that provide services to victims of sexual assault. The office may use up to 10 percent of the amount appropriated to cover the costs of administering the grant program. The office shall develop criteria and procedures for use in selecting grantees and administering the grant program. Notwithstanding s. 227.10 (1), the criteria and procedures need not be promulgated as rules under ch. 227.".

SB580-SA1,2,6 20.505 (6) (gj) Grants for victims of sexual assault; child pornography surcharge. All moneys received as part C of any child pornography surcharge imposed under s. 973.042 for the grant program under s. 16.964 (11).".
