AB679-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB679-AA1,1,3 21. Page 5, line 3: delete "any amount" and substitute "an amount of at least
3$20 owed to an ambulance service provider that is".
AB679-AA1,1,5 42. Page 5, line 3: after "for" insert "providing emergency services, as defined
5under 42 CFR 438.114 (a), to the individual and for".
AB679-AA1,1,11 63. Page 5, line 10: delete the material beginning with "Not" and ending with
7"appeal" on line 12 and substitute "At least 30 days prior to certification, the
8ambulance service provider shall send the debtor a notice of the ambulance service
9provider's intent to certify the debt to the department. Prior to certification, the debt
10must be reduced to a judgment or the ambulance service provider must provide the
11debtor reasonable notice and an opportunity to be heard with regard to the debt".

AB679-AA1,2,13 5"(6) Any ambulance service provider wishing to certify debts to the department
6shall enter into a written agreement with the department prior to any certification
7of debt. The debt of an indigent debtor may not be certified. Any certification of debts
8by an ambulance service provider or changes to certified debts shall be in a manner
9and form prescribed by the department. The secretary of revenue shall be the final
10authority in the resolution of any disputes with an ambulance service provider with
11regard to the certification of debts. If a refund or disbursement is adjusted after a
12setoff, the department may readjust any erroneous settlement with a certifying
13ambulance service provider.".
