ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO 2007 ASSEMBLY BILL 709

AB709-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB709-AA1,1,3 1. Page 1, line 2: after "certificate" insert "and reducing the fee for a copy of a birth certificate".

AB709-AA1,1,4 2. Page 1, line 3: before that line insert:

AB709-AA1,1,6 " Section 1c. 69.22 (1) (c) of the statutes, as affected by 2007 Wisconsin Act 20, section 1918k, is amended to read:

AB709-AA1,1,11 69.22 (1) (c) Twenty Nineteen dollars for issuing an uncertified copy of a birth certificate or a certified copy of a birth certificate, $7 $6.50 of which shall be forwarded to the secretary of administration as provided in sub. (1m) and credited to the appropriations under s. 20.433 (1) (g) and (h); and $3 for issuing any additional certified or uncertified copy of the same birth certificate issued at the same time.

AB709-AA1, s. 1d Section 1d. 69.22 (1) (c) of the statutes, as affected by 2007 Wisconsin Act 20, section 1918L, and 2007 Wisconsin Act .... (this act), is repealed and recreated to read:

AB709-AA1,2,8 69.22 (1) (c) Eleven dollars for issuing an uncertified copy of a birth certificate or a certified copy of a birth certificate, $6.50 of which shall be forwarded to the secretary of administration as provided in sub. (1m) and credited to the appropriations under s. 20.433 (1) (g) and (h); and $3 for issuing any additional certified or uncertified copy of the same birth certificate issued at the same time.

AB709-AA1, s. 1f Section 1f. 69.22 (1p) (c) of the statutes, as created by 2007 Wisconsin Act 20, is amended to read:

AB709-AA1,2,12 69.22 (1p) (c) For any copy of a birth certificate that is issued before July 1, 2010, for which a fee of $20 $19 under sub. (1) (c) is charged, $8.

AB709-AA1, s. 1h Section 1h. 69.22 (5) (b) 2. of the statutes is amended to read:

AB709-AA1,2,17 69.22 (5) (b) 2. The filing of a birth certificate under s. 69.14 (2) (b) 5. The fee under this subdivision includes the search for the birth certificate and the first copy of the certificate except that the state registrar shall add to the $20 fee, the $5 $6.50 fee required under sub. (1) (c).".

AB709-AA1,2,18 3. Page 1, line 3: delete " Section 1" and substitute "Section 1m".

AB709-AA1,2,20 4. Page 2, line 8: delete "This act" and substitute "The treatment of section 765.09 (3) (b) of the statutes".

AB709-AA1,2,21 5. Page 2, line 9: after that line insert:

AB709-AA1,2,23 " Section 3c. Effective dates. This act takes effect on the day after publication, except as follows:

AB709-AA1,3,2 (1) Fee for birth certificate. The repeal and recreation of section 69.22 (1) (c) of the statutes takes effect on July 1, 2010.".
