ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO 2007 ASSEMBLY BILL 8

AB8-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB8-AA1,1,2 1. Page 3, line 3: after "adopt" insert "and prominently post".

AB8-AA1,1,3 2. Page 3, line 8: after that line insert:

AB8-AA1,1,5 "(cm) Prohibits the use of a cell phone in the locker room, except in emergencies, and states the penalties under s. 947.0123.".

AB8-AA1,1,6 3. Page 3, line 9: delete "(c)" and substitute "(d)".

AB8-AA1,1,7 4. Page 3, line 9: after that line insert:

AB8-AA1,1,10 "(3) Any person that owns or operates a locker room in this state shall prominently post within or in the vicinity of the locker room a sign prohibiting the use of a cell phone within the locker room.".

AB8-AA1,1,11 5. Page 5, line 16: after that line insert:

AB8-AA1,1,12 " Section 6m. 947.0123 of the statutes is created to read:

AB8-AA1,2,3 947.0123 Unlawful use of a cell phone. (1) Except as provided in sub. (2), whoever uses a cell phone in a locker room is subject to a Class D forfeiture. This section does not apply in an emergency situation.

AB8-AA1,2,5 (2) Whoever violates sub. (1) after having been subject to a forfeiture under sub. (1) 3 or more times is guilty of a Class B misdemeanor.".
