ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 3, TO 2007 ASSEMBLY BILL 90

AB90-AA3,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB90-AA3,1,2 1. Page 1, line 3: delete "areas," and substitute "areas in this state,".

AB90-AA3,1,3 2. Page 3, line 4: delete that line and substitute "(aj), in this state.".

AB90-AA3,1,7 3. Page 3, line 19: after "time." insert "If a loan recipient breaches his or her agreement under sub. (1) to practice medicine for not less than 6 years in an area described in sub. (1), the loan recipient shall repay to the board the balance of the loan's principal and interest remaining plus a penalty calculated as follows:

AB90-AA3,1,8 (a) Multiply the balance of the loan's principal and interest remaining by 2.

AB90-AA3,1,10 (b) Subtract the number of months that the loan recipient has been practicing medicine as agreed to under sub. (1) from 72 and divide that difference by 72.

AB90-AA3,1,12 (c) Multiply the product obtained under par. (a) by the quotient obtained under par. (b).".

AB90-AA3,2,2 4. Page 3, line 21: delete "loans." and substitute "loans and any penalties imposed under sub. (3).".
