SENATE AMENDMENT 2, TO SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2007 SENATE BILL 537

SB537-SSA1-SA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB537-SSA1-SA2,1,4 1. Page 1, line 4: after "proceedings" insert "and removal of certain criminal cases from the consolidated court automated Internet Web site resulting from a John Doe proceeding against a state officer or employee".

SB537-SSA1-SA2,1,5 2. Page 2, line 10: after that line insert:

SB537-SSA1-SA2,1,6 " Section 2p. 758.20 of the statutes is created to read:

SB537-SSA1-SA2,1,12 758.20 Consolidated court automation programs. (1) In this section, "Wisconsin Circuit Court Access Internet Web site" means the Web site of the consolidated court automation programs, which is the statewide electronic circuit court case management system established under s. 758.19 (4) and maintained by the director of state courts, that provides information regarding the cases heard in the circuit courts.

SB537-SSA1-SA2,2,5 (2) Within 90 days after being notified of any of the following involving a crime in which the defendant was a state officer or employee and the complaint related to the crime was prepared as part of a proceeding under s. 968.26, the director of state courts shall remove the case or charge from the Wisconsin Circuit Court Access Internet Web site:

SB537-SSA1-SA2,2,6 (a) That the case or charge has been dismissed.

SB537-SSA1-SA2,2,7 (b) That the defendant has been found not guilty of all of the charges.

SB537-SSA1-SA2,2,8 (c) That the case or charge has been overturned on appeal and dismissed.".

SB537-SSA1-SA2,2,10 3. Page 6, line 10: delete "The treatment of section 968.26 (2) of the statutes" and substitute "This act".
