SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2007 SENATE RESOLUTION 2

SR2-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the resolution as follows:

SR2-SA1,1,3 1. Page 7, line 22: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with page 8, line 2, and substitute:

SR2-SA1,1,5 " Section 18e. Senate rule 41 (1) (a) is renumbered senate rule 41 (1) (a) 1. and amended to read:

SR2-SA1,1,10 Senate Rule 41 (1) (a) 1. A Subject to subd. 2., a proposal or other matter may be rereferred at any time prior to its passage, except that a motion to withdraw from committee may not take effect during the 7 days preceding any scheduled committee hearing meeting or the 7 days following the date on which a committee hearing meeting is held.

SR2-SA1, s. 18r Section 18r. Senate rule 41 (1) (a) 2. is created to read:

SR2-SA1,2,2 Senate Rule 41 (1) (a) 2. After the senate committee on organization establishes the calendar for a floorperiod, subd. 1. shall not apply to a motion made during that floorperiod to withdraw a proposal or other matter from a committee if the committee schedules a meeting after the establishment of the calendar.".
