SB107-AA1,1,2 At the locations indicated, amend the bill, as shown by senate substitute amendment 1, as follows:

SB107-AA1,1,3 1. Page 6, line 7: after "households" insert "or schools".

SB107-AA1,1,9 7. Page 9, line 15: after "households" insert "or schools".

SB107-AA1,1,10 8. Page 9, line 21: after that line insert:

SB107-AA1,1,11 "(np) "School" means a public school, as defined in s. 115.01 (1).

SB107-AA1,2,2 (nr) "School computer or peripheral" means one of the following that is used by a school:

SB107-AA1,2,5 1. A high-speed data processing device for performing logical, arithmetic, or storage functions, except for an automated typewriter or typesetter, a portable hand-held calculator or device, or other similar device.

SB107-AA1,2,8 2. A keyboard or any other device, other than a printer, that is sold for external use with a device described in subd. 1. and that provides input into or output from a device described in subd. 1.

SB107-AA1,2,11 (nu) "School electronic device" means a device that is one of the following, unless the device is of a kind exempted by a rule promulgated by the department under s. 287.17 (10) (i):

SB107-AA1,2,12 1. A school computer or peripheral.

SB107-AA1,2,13 2. A facsimile machine that is used by a school.

SB107-AA1,2,14 3. A digital video disc player that is used by a school.

SB107-AA1,2,16 4. A digital video player that does not use a disc, that is not a camera, and that is used by a school.

SB107-AA1,2,17 5. A video cassette recorder that is used by a school.

SB107-AA1,2,19 6. A video recorder that does not use a cassette, that is not a camera, and that is used by a school.

SB107-AA1,2,20 7. A school video display device.

SB107-AA1,2,21 8. Either of the following that is used by a school:

SB107-AA1,2,22 a. A desktop printer.

SB107-AA1,2,25 b. A device that prints and has other functions, such as copying, scanning, or sending facsimiles, and that is designed to be placed on a work surface, but not a calculator with printing capabilities.

SB107-AA1,3,2 9. Another kind of electronic device identified by the department under sub. (10) (i).

SB107-AA1,3,6 (nw) "School video display device" means means a television or computer monitor with a tube or screen that is at least 7 inches in its longest diagonal measurement and that is used by a school, except that "school video display device" does not include any of the following:

SB107-AA1,3,9 1. A television or computer monitor that is part of a motor vehicle and that is incorporated into the motor vehicle by, or for, a motor vehicle manufacturer or a franchised motor vehicle dealer.

SB107-AA1,3,12 2. A television or computer monitor that is contained within a clothes washer, clothes dryer, refrigerator, freezer, microwave oven, conventional oven or stove, dishwasher, room air conditioner, dehumidifier, or air purifier.".
