SENATE AMENDMENT 7, TO SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2011 SENATE BILL 22

SB22-SSA1-SA7,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB22-SSA1-SA7,1,2 1. Page 4, line 3: after that line insert:

SB22-SSA1-SA7,1,3 " Section 1m. 15.07 (2) (c) of the statutes is created to read:

SB22-SSA1-SA7,1,5 15.07 (2) (c) The chairperson of the charter school authorizing board shall be designated by the governor.".

SB22-SSA1-SA7,1,6 2. Page 4, line 8: delete that line and substitute:

SB22-SSA1-SA7,1,10 "(a) Two members appointed by the governor, at least one of whom has served on a charter school governing board or has been employed by a charter school authorizer that authorized at least 4 charter schools while he or she was so employed and while he or she was directly involved in working with charter schools.".

SB22-SSA1-SA7,1,11 3. Page 5, line 1: delete lines 1 to 3 and substitute:

SB22-SSA1-SA7,2,2 "(b) 1. One member, who is not a legislator, appointed by the senate majority leader.

SB22-SSA1-SA7,2,3 2. One member, who is not a legislator, appointed by the senate minority leader.

SB22-SSA1-SA7,2,5 3. One member, who is not a legislator, appointed by the speaker of the assembly.

SB22-SSA1-SA7,2,7 4. One member, who is not a legislator, appointed by the assembly minority leader.".

Page 23, line 14: delete lines 14 to 19 and substitute "15.56 (1) (a) of the statutes, as created by this act, one member shall be appointed for a term expiring on May 1, 2014, and one member shall be appointed for a term expiring on May 1, 2015; of the initial members appointed under section 15.56 (1) (b) of the statutes, as created by this act, the member appointed under section 15.56 (1) (b) 1. of the statutes, as created by this act, shall be appointed for a term expiring on May 1, 2013, the member appointed under section 15.56 (1) (b) 2. of the statutes, as created by this act, shall be appointed for a term expiring on May 1, 2014, the member appointed under section 15.56 (1) (b) 3. of the statutes, as created by this act, shall be appointed for a term expiring on May 1, 2015, and the member appointed under section 15.56 (1) (b) 4. of the statutes, as created by this act, shall be appointed for a term expiring on May 1, 2016.".
