SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO 2011 SENATE BILL 517

SB517-SSA1,1,2 An Act to create 97.20 (2) (e) 5. of the statutes; relating to: licensing of plants that process certain foods made with milk or milk products.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

SB517-SSA1, s. 1 Section 1. 97.20 (2) (e) 5. of the statutes is created to read:

SB517-SSA1,1,5 97.20 (2) (e) 5. A food processing plant licensed under s. 97.29 that processes dairy products into a prepared food if all of the following apply:

SB517-SSA1,1,7 a. The dairy products used by the food processing plant are manufactured from pasteurized ingredients at a dairy plant licensed under this section.

SB517-SSA1,1,9 b. The federal food and drug administration has not prescribed a standard of identity under title 21 of the code of federal regulations for the prepared food.
