SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 35

AB35-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB35-SA1,1,3 1. Page 1, line 3: after the material inserted by assembly amendment 2, insert "and an exemption for secondary wiring for on-premises signs".

AB35-SA1,1,4 2. Page 1, line 4: before that line insert:

AB35-SA1,1,5 " Section 1b. 101.80 (2b) of the statutes is created to read:

AB35-SA1,1,7 101.80 (2b) "On-premises sign" means a sign that is or will be located on the premises of a business and that advertises that business.".

AB35-SA1,1,8 3. Page 1, line 4: substitute "Section 1e" for "Section 1".

AB35-SA1,1,9 4. Page 2, line 7: before that line insert:

AB35-SA1,1,10 " Section 1r. 101.862 (4) (n) of the statutes is created to read:

AB35-SA1,1,13 101.862 (4) (n) A person engaged in installing, repairing, or maintaining electrical wiring that is secondary wiring and that is necessary for the manufacture, installation, repair, or maintenance of an on-premises sign.".

AB35-SA1,2,1 5. Page 2, line 10: after that line insert:

AB35-SA1,2,3 " Section 2m. Effective dates. This act takes effect on the day after publication, except as follows:

AB35-SA1,2,5 (1) The treatment of section 101.862 (4) (n) of the statutes takes effect on April 1, 2014.".
