AB40-SA45,1,2 At the locations indicated, amend the bill, as shown by assembly substitute amendment 1, as follows:

AB40-SA45,1,4 1. Page 679, line 2: after that line, after the material inserted by assembly amendment 3, insert:

AB40-SA45,1,5 " Section 1270g. 66.0513 (title) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB40-SA45,1,7 66.0513 (title) Police, pay when acting outside county or municipality; limits on police, fire pay.

AB40-SA45,1270h Section 1270h. 66.0513 (3) of the statutes is created to read:

AB40-SA45,2,2 66.0513 (3) The value of all wage and fringe benefit increases paid to a law enforcement officer or fire fighter who is employed by a city, village, town, or county may not increase, each year, by a percentage that is greater than the percentage increase in the U.S. consumer price index for all urban consumers, U.S. city average, for the 12-month period ending on December 31 of the preceding year and the consumer price index for the 12-month period ending on December 31 of the year before the preceding year.".
