ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 332

SB332-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB332-AA1,1,2 1. Page 4, line 5: after that line insert:

SB332-AA1,1,3 " Section 6m. 108.02 (12) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:

SB332-AA1,1,6 108.02 (12) (a) "Employee" means any individual who is or has been performing services for pay for an employing unit, whether or not the individual is paid directly by the employing unit, except as provided in par. (bm), (c), (d), (dm) or, (dn), or (dp).

SB332-AA1,6p Section 6p. 108.02 (12) (a) of the statutes, as affected by 2013 Wisconsin Act .... (this act), is amended to read:

SB332-AA1,1,11 108.02 (12) (a) "Employee" means any individual who is or has been performing services for pay for an employing unit, whether or not the individual is paid directly by the employing unit, except as provided in par. (bm), (c), (d), (dm), or (dn), or (dp).".

SB332-AA1,1,13 2. Page 9, line 1: delete "stipend of $75 per week" and substitute "weekly stipend".

SB332-AA1,2,7 3. Page 9, line 4: after "declination." insert "The department shall prescribe a schedule establishing graduated amounts of stipends to be paid to claimants under this paragraph and send a copy of the schedule to the legislative reference bureau for publication in the Wisconsin administrative register. The schedule shall provide for the payment of larger stipends, of up to $100 per week, to claimants who receive placements earlier in a benefit year, and smaller stipends, of no less than $50 per week, to claimants who receive placements later in a benefit year.".

SB332-AA1,2,8 4. Page 9, line 11: after that line insert:

SB332-AA1,2,9 " Section 20m. 227.01 (13) (tm) of the statutes is created to read:

SB332-AA1,2,11 227.01 (13) (tm) Is the stipend schedule established by the department of workforce development under s. 108.04 (16m) (g).

SB332-AA1,20p Section 20p. 227.01 (13) (tm) of the statutes, as created by 2013 Wisconsin Act .... (this act), is repealed.".

SB332-AA1,2,14 5. Page 9, line 17: after that line insert:

SB332-AA1,2,18 "(1m) No later than January 1, 2015, the department of workforce development shall submit a report to the cochairpersons of the joint committee on finance describing the initial implementation of this act and the department's initial experience and results implementing this act.".

SB332-AA1,2,20 6. Page 10, line 6: delete "and 108.04" and substitute ", 108.02 (12) (a) (by Section 6p), and 108.04".

SB332-AA1,2,22 7. Page 10, line 8: delete "and 108.04 (8) (dm) and (16m)" and substitute "108.04 (8) (dm) and (16m), and 227.01 (13) (tm)".
