TO SENATE BILL 377

SB377-SA2,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
SB377-SA2,1,2 21. Page 1, line 2: after "statistics" insert "and making an appropriation".
SB377-SA2,1,3 32. Page 2, line 1: before that line insert:
SB377-SA2,1,4 4" Section 1c. 5.68 (4) of the statutes is amended to read:
SB377-SA2,1,65 5.68 (4) The Except as provided in sub. (7), the cost of compensation of election
6officials and trainees shall be borne in the manner provided in s. 7.03.
SB377-SA2,1g 7Section 1g. 5.68 (7) of the statutes is created to read:
SB377-SA2,2,68 5.68 (7) Any municipality that incurs costs to implement the changes to the law
9affecting voting statistics under 2013 Wisconsin Act .... (this act) that were not
10incurred by the municipality prior to implementation of that act may file a claim with
11the board for reimbursement of those costs. The claim shall be accompanied by
12appropriate substantiation of all increased costs incurred. The board shall audit the
13claim and, if the board finds that the municipality has incurred increased costs that

1would not have been incurred but for the enactment of 2013 Wisconsin Act .... (this
2act), the board shall reimburse the municipality for those costs. No claim is payable
3under this subsection unless the claim is filed with the board, together with
4appropriate substantiation, by the end of the 2nd month beginning after the end of
5the calendar year in which the costs for implementation of 2013 Wisconsin Act ....
6(this act) are incurred.".
SB377-SA2,2,7 73. Page 2, line 1: delete " Section 1" and substitute "Section 1r".
SB377-SA2,2,8 84. Page 3, line 11: after that line insert:
SB377-SA2,2,9 9" Section 3m. 20.511 (1) (bt) of the statutes is created to read:
SB377-SA2,2,1110 20.511 (1) (bt) Voting statistics. A sum sufficient to reimburse municipalities
11for claims allowed under s. 5.68 (7).".
