SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 379

SB379-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB379-SA1,1,2 1. Page 3, line 9: delete "(a)".

SB379-SA1,1,3 2. Page 3, line 12: substitute "(a)" for "1.".

SB379-SA1,1,4 3. Page 3, line 13: substitute "(b)" for "2.".

SB379-SA1,1,5 4. Page 3, line 14: substitute "(c)" for "3.".

SB379-SA1,1,6 5. Page 3, line 16: delete ", except as provided in par. (b)".

SB379-SA1,1,7 6. Page 3, line 24: before "plans" insert "proposed".

SB379-SA1,1,8 7. Page 4, line 1: delete lines 1 to 5 and substitute:

SB379-SA1,2,6 "(6b) Application process. (a) A person intending to engage in a building project shall notify the department and the department shall schedule with the person a review date on which the plans, specifications, and documents required for the building project will be reviewed. The person shall submit an application containing these plans, specifications, and documents and the applicable fee at least 2 business days before the review date. In lieu of submitting the applicable fee with the application, the department may authorize that the person submitting the application be billed for the fee at a later date. The department shall make a determination either approving or denying the plans and specifications within 15 business days after the review date, except as provided in par. (b).

SB379-SA1,2,11 (b) If on or after the review date the department determines that additional information is needed to make a determination under par. (a), the 15-day period is tolled for a period beginning on the date that the notification is sent by the department and ending on the date on which the department receives the information.".

SB379-SA1,2,13 9. Page 4, line 20: delete lines 20 to 23 and substitute:

SB379-SA1,2,24 "(4s) (a) A person intending to construct, alter, or reconstruct a public swimming pool or water attraction shall notify the department and the department shall schedule with the person a review date on which the plans and specifications required for the swimming pool or water attraction will be reviewed. The person shall submit an application containing these plans and specifications and the applicable fee at least 2 business days before the review date. In lieu of submitting the applicable fee with the application, the department may authorize that the person submitting the application be billed for the fee at a later date. The department shall make a determination either approving or denying the plans and specifications within 15 business days after the review date, except as provided in par. (b).
