TO SENATE BILL 385

SB385-SA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
SB385-SA1,1,2 21. Page 2, line 1: delete that line and substitute:
SB385-SA1,1,4 3" Section 1m. 238.02 (3) of the statutes is renumbered 238.02 (3) (a) and
4amended to read:
SB385-SA1,1,95 238.02 (3) (a) A chief executive officer shall be nominated by the governor
6board, and with the advice and consent of the senate appointed, to serve at the
7pleasure of the governor board. The board may delegate to the chief executive officer
8any powers and duties the board considers proper. The chief executive officer shall
9receive such compensation as may be determined by the board.
SB385-SA1,1p 10Section 1p. 238.02 (3) (b) of the statutes is created to read:
SB385-SA1,1,1311 238.02 (3) (b) The governor shall coordinate with the chief executive officer as
12if the chief executive officer is the secretary of a department in the executive branch
13of state government who is appointed by the governor.".

12. Page 2, line 9: delete the material beginning with "executive" and ending
2with "chief operating officer," on line 10 and substitute "operating officer".
