SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 385

SB385-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB385-SA1,1,2 1. Page 2, line 1: delete that line and substitute:

SB385-SA1,1,4 " Section 1m. 238.02 (3) of the statutes is renumbered 238.02 (3) (a) and amended to read:

SB385-SA1,1,9 238.02 (3) (a) A chief executive officer shall be nominated by the governor board, and with the advice and consent of the senate appointed, to serve at the pleasure of the governor board. The board may delegate to the chief executive officer any powers and duties the board considers proper. The chief executive officer shall receive such compensation as may be determined by the board.

SB385-SA1,1p Section 1p. 238.02 (3) (b) of the statutes is created to read:

SB385-SA1,1,13 238.02 (3) (b) The governor shall coordinate with the chief executive officer as if the chief executive officer is the secretary of a department in the executive branch of state government who is appointed by the governor.".

SB385-SA1,2,2 2. Page 2, line 9: delete the material beginning with "executive" and ending with "chief operating officer," on line 10 and substitute "operating officer".

SB385-SA1,2,3 3. Page 2, line 11: delete "all" and substitute "both".

SB385-SA1,2,4 4. Page 2, line 13: delete lines 13 to 16.
