SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 389

SB389-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB389-SA1,1,2 1. Page 3, line 1: before that line insert:

SB389-SA1,1,3 " Section 1e. 16.641 (3) (a) 1. of the statutes is amended to read:

SB389-SA1,1,6 16.641 (3) (a) 1. Contribute to a college savings account or authorize a parent, grandparent, great-grandparent, aunt, or uncle of the beneficiary any other person to contribute to the account.".

SB389-SA1,1,7 2. Page 3, line 1: delete " Section 1" and substitute "Section 1m".

SB389-SA1,1,9 3. Page 3, line 15: delete lines 15 and 16 and substitute "USC 529 (e) (3), and was contributed to the account after December 31, 2013.".

SB389-SA1,1,11 4. Page 4, line 6: delete " on" and substitute "in the taxable year in which the contribution is made or on".

SB389-SA1,1,12 5. Page 4, line 7: delete " subject to any".

SB389-SA1,2,1 6. Page 4, line 8: delete " applicable extension under s. 71.03 (7),".

SB389-SA1,2,2 7. Page 5, line 5: on lines 5 and 7, delete "October" and substitute " August".

SB389-SA1,2,3 8. Page 5, line 7: delete " 2011" and substitute "2012".

SB389-SA1,2,4 9. Page 5, line 21: after that line insert:

SB389-SA1,2,6 " Section 7m. Effective dates. This act takes effect on the day after publication, except as follows:

SB389-SA1,2,8 (1) The treatment of section 71.05 (6) (a) 26. of the statutes takes effect on June 1, 2014.".
