ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 416

SB416-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB416-AA1,1,3 1. Page 2, line 8: delete "(b) If" and substitute "(b) 1. Except as provided in subd. 2., if".

SB416-AA1,1,4 2. Page 2, line 11: after that line insert:

SB416-AA1,1,6 "2. School employees are not required to report the pupil's use of the epinephrine auto-injector under subd. 1. if any of the following applies:

SB416-AA1,1,10 a. A physician or emergency medical technician, as defined in s. 256.01 (5), observes the pupil after the pupil uses the epinephrine auto-injector and determines that it is not necessary to call "911" or, if applicable, the telephone number for an emergency medical service provider.

SB416-AA1,2,2 b. A school employee knows that a person other than a school employee reported the pupil's use of the epinephrine auto-injector by calling "911" or, if applicable, the telephone number for an emergency medical service provider, or otherwise contacted the next appropriate level of emergency care.".
