ASSEMBLY SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 192

AB192-ASA1,1,3 An Act to create 20.445 (1) (ak) and 103.98 of the statutes; relating to: a substance abuse treatment program provided by the department of workforce development and making an appropriation.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

AB192-ASA1,1 Section 1. 20.005 (3) (schedule) of the statutes: at the appropriate place, insert the following amounts for the purposes indicated: - See PDF for table

AB192-ASA1,2 Section 2. 20.445 (1) (ak) of the statutes is created to read:

AB192-ASA1,2,2 20.445 (1) (ak) Substance abuse treatment program. Biennially, the amounts in the schedule to provide substance abuse treatment under s. 103.98.

AB192-ASA1,3 Section 3. 103.98 of the statutes is created to read:

AB192-ASA1,2,9 103.98 Substance abuse treatment program. The department shall create and provide a voluntary substance abuse treatment program for individuals who are unemployed and who abuse controlled substances. An employer may refer an individual who tested positive for the presence of controlled substances in a test that was conducted on the individual as preemployment screening to the program created by the department under this section.

AB192-ASA1,4 Section 4. Effective date.

AB192-ASA1,2,12 (1) This act takes effect on the day after publication, or on the 2nd day after publication of the 2015-17 biennial budget act, whichever is later.
