ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 3, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 311

AB311-AA3,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB311-AA3,1,2 1. Page 2, line 9: after that line insert:

AB311-AA3,1,3 " Section 2m. Nonstatutory provisions.

AB311-AA3,1,6 (1) Before the date the billing requirement under section 49.45 (49g) of the statutes is implemented the department of health services shall do all of the following:

AB311-AA3,1,9 (a) Solicit public comments for at least 30 days so entities and clients are able to submit testimony regarding comments or concerns about the drug pricing schedule changes under section 49.45 (49g) of the statutes.

AB311-AA3,1,11 (b) Conduct a study on the impact of the drug pricing schedule under section 49.45 (49g) including all of the following:

AB311-AA3,1,13 1. The service infrastructure and any service gaps resulting from the changes in prescription drug funding under section 49.45 (49g).

AB311-AA3,2,2 2. Using comments solicited under paragraph (a), the effect any service gaps would have on clients across the state.".

AB311-AA3,3m Section 3m. Effective date.

AB311-AA3,2,5 (1) The treatment of section 49.45 (49g) of the statutes takes effect on the first day of the 13th month beginning after publication.".
