ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 692

AB692-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB692-AA1,1,4 1. Page 5, line 8: delete the material beginning with "on school grounds" and ending with "activities" on line 10 and substitute "when pupils are at school or while pupils are under the supervision of a school authority".

AB692-AA1,1,6 2. Page 5, line 10: delete "The department" and substitute "Subject to subd. 1m., the department".

AB692-AA1,1,7 3. Page 5, line 16: after that line insert:

AB692-AA1,2,5 "1m. In preparing the policy required under subd. 1., the department shall take into consideration other policies that may have been adopted by a school board and that directly address the prevention of and appropriate responses to teen dating violence and sexual violence, as well as other obligations imposed upon the school board related to education and training; the protection and accommodation of a pupil who is the victim of bullying, harassment, or assault; and the reporting of suspected child abuse and neglect. The department shall explicitly reference those policies and obligations in the policy adopted under subd. 1. and, to the greatest extent possible, the department shall not duplicate in the policy adopted under subd. 1. any requirement or obligation imposed upon a school board under a policy adopted by the school board or under current law.".

AB692-AA1,2,6 4. Page 6, line 15: delete that line and substitute:

AB692-AA1,2,7 "2. By the beginning of the 2018-19 school year, a school".

AB692-AA1,2,10 5. Page 7, line 18: delete the material beginning with "on school grounds" and ending with "activities" on line 19 and substitute "when pupils are at school or while pupils are under the supervision of a school authority".
