ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 1, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 871

AB871-AA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB871-AA1,1,3 1. Page 1, line 1: before "modifying" insert "delegation of certain services by a chiropractor and".

AB871-AA1,1,4 2. Page 2, line 1: before that line insert:

AB871-AA1,1,5 " Section 1b. 446.01 (1v) of the statutes is created to read:

AB871-AA1,1,7 446.01 (1v) "Health care professional" has the meaning given in s. 180.1901 (1m) and includes an acupuncturist certified under ch. 451.

AB871-AA1,1d Section 1d. 446.02 (7) (a) of the statutes is renumbered 446.02 (7) (a) (intro.) and amended to read:

AB871-AA1,1,13 446.02 (7) (a) (intro.) Except as provided in pars. (b) and (d), a chiropractor who is licensed under this chapter may delegate to a person who is not licensed under this chapter the performance of adjunctive services if the services are performed by any of the following under the direct, on-premises supervision of the chiropractor.:

AB871-AA1,1e Section 1e. 446.02 (7) (a) 2. of the statutes is created to read:

AB871-AA1,2,3 446.02 (7) (a) 2. A health care professional acting within the scope of his or her license, registration, or certification.

AB871-AA1,1h Section 1h. 446.02 (7) (d) 1. of the statutes is renumbered 446.02 (7) (d).

AB871-AA1,1i Section 1i. 446.02 (7) (d) 2. of the statutes is renumbered 446.02 (7) (a) 1. and amended to read:

AB871-AA1,2,8 446.02 (7) (a) 1. Beginning on July 1, 2010, a chiropractor may delegate adjunctive services only to a A chiropractic technologist.".

AB871-AA1,2,9 3. Page 3, line 1: delete lines 1 to 22.

AB871-AA1,2,10 4. Page 4, line 1: delete lines 1 to 3 and substitute:

AB871-AA1,2,14 "Chir 10.01 (3) "Unlicensed person" means a person who does not possess a valid license to practice chiropractic in this state pursuant to ch. 446, Stats is a chiropractic technologist or chiropractic radiological technologist and who is not a health care professional, as defined in s. 446.01 (1v).".
