AB885-AA2,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

AB885-AA2,1,2 1. Page 7, line 9: delete lines 9 to 12.

AB885-AA2,1,3 2. Page 7, line 20: after that line insert:

AB885-AA2,2,3 "6. The department shall annually prepare a report for the joint committee on finance reviewing the efficacy of the debt collection program under this paragraph and making recommendations regarding the program. The report shall include a comparison of debt collection amounts for the county in the current year with debt collection amounts for the county in previous years. If the cochairpersons of the joint committee on finance do not notify the department that the committee has scheduled a meeting for the purpose of reviewing the recommendations contained in the report within 14 working days after the date of the report's submittal, the department may implement any recommendations contained in the report. If, within 14 working days after the date of the report's submittal, the cochairpersons of the committee notify the department that the committee has scheduled a meeting for the purpose of reviewing the recommendations contained in the report, the department may implement the recommendations only with the approval of the committee.".
