SENATE AMENDMENT 29, TO SENATE SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 21

SB21-SSA1-SA29,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

SB21-SSA1-SA29,1,2 1. At the appropriate places, insert all of the following:

SB21-SSA1-SA29,1,4 " Section 1. 20.005 (3) (schedule) of the statutes: at the appropriate place, insert the following amounts for the purposes indicated: - See PDF for table

SB21-SSA1-SA29,2,3 2. Page 102, line 5: increase the dollar amount for fiscal year 2015-16 by $500,000 and increase the dollar amount for fiscal year 2016-17 by $500,000 for the purpose of broadband expansion grants.

SB21-SSA1-SA29,2,4 3. Page 293, line 4: delete lines 4 to 9 and substitute:

SB21-SSA1-SA29,2,5 " Section 511g. 20.155 (3) (f) of the statutes is created to read:

SB21-SSA1-SA29,2,7 20.155 (3) (f) Broadband expansion grants; state funds. Biennially, the amounts in the schedule for broadband expansion grants under s. 196.504.

SB21-SSA1-SA29,511i Section 511i. 20.155 (3) (g) of the statutes is renumbered 20.155 (3) (k) and amended to read:

SB21-SSA1-SA29,2,13 20.155 (3) (k) Broadband expansion grants; program revenues-service. As a continuing appropriation Biennially, the amounts in the schedule for broadband expansion grants under s. 196.504. The amounts transferred from s. 20.505 (1) (is) to this appropriation shall be credited to this appropriation account.".

SB21-SSA1-SA29,2,15 5. Page 1163, line 4: after that line insert:

SB21-SSA1-SA29,2,19 196.504 (1) (a) 3. A city, village, town, or county, school district, technical college district, or public library board that submits an application in partnership with an eligible applicant under subd. 1. or 2.".

SB21-SSA1-SA29,2,21 6. Page 1163, line 15: delete lines 15 and 16 and substitute "appropriation appropriations under s. 20.155 (3) (g) (f) and (k).".

SB21-SSA1-SA29,2,24 7. Page 1163, line 23: after " scalable," insert "that are located in counties with the highest unemployment rates in the state, that are located in counties with the lowest rates of broadband access in the state,".

SB21-SSA1-SA29,3,1 8. Page 1514, line 19: delete lines 19 to 24 and substitute:

SB21-SSA1-SA29,3,4 "(2qu) Federal broadband opportunities. No later than January 1, 2016, the public service commission shall submit a report to the joint committee on finance on federal broadband expansion funding opportunities.".
