SB585-SA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
SB585-SA1,1,3 21. Page 1, line 3: delete "burial or cremation and burial" and substitute
3"interment or cremation and interment".
SB585-SA1,1,4 42. Page 2, line 19: delete "buried" and substitute "interred".
SB585-SA1,1,5 53. Page 3, line 6: delete " buried" and substitute "interred".
SB585-SA1,1,6 64. Page 3, line 9: delete "bury" and substitute "bury inter".
SB585-SA1,1,7 75. Page 3, line 10: delete " bury" and substitute "inter".
SB585-SA1,1,9 86. Page 4, line 11: on lines 11 and 17, delete "burial or cremation and burial"

1302.14 Property of deceased inmates, parolees, probationers or
2persons on extended supervision, disposition.
When an inmate of a prison, a
3parolee of an institution, a person on extended supervision or a person on probation
4to the department dies leaving an estate, after paying all costs and obligations under
5ss. 301.32 and 301.325,
of $150 or less in the trust of the warden, superintendent or
6secretary, the warden, superintendent or secretary shall try to determine whether
7or not the estate is to be probated. If probate proceedings are not commenced within
890 days, the warden, superintendent or secretary shall turn over the money or
9securities to the nearest of kin as evidenced by the records of the institution and the
10department.".
