AB205-AA4,1,2 21. Page 3, line 12: after that line insert:
AB205-AA4,1,3 3 Section 2e. 16.84 (5) (e) of the statutes is created to read:
AB205-AA4,2,24 16.84 (5) (e) No lease that is approved by the joint committee on finance under
5par. (a), either by passive review or by approval, may take effect unless it is approved
6in a referendum by a majority of the electors, in the city, village, or town in which the
7building subject to the expiring lease is located, voting on the proposed lease at a
8referendum to be held at the first spring primary or election or partisan primary or
9general election following by at least 70 days the date of approval of the lease by the
10joint committee on finance. This paragraph applies only to a lease that results in the
11tenant of the building to which the expiring lease applies moving from its current

1location to another location, based on the results of the cost-benefit analysis and
2evaluation described in par. (b).”.
