ASSEMBLY AMENDMENT 10, TO ASSEMBLY SUBSTITUTE AMENDMENT 3, TO ASSEMBLY BILL 637

AB637-ASA3-AA10,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:

AB637-ASA3-AA10,1,2 1. Page 4, line 5: delete that line and substitute:

AB637-ASA3-AA10,1,3 “ Section 4d. 6.21 of the statutes is renumbered 6.21 (1).

AB637-ASA3-AA10,4e Section 4e. 6.21 (2) of the statutes is created to read:

AB637-ASA3-AA10,1,9 6.21 (2) (a) When by due proof it appears to the municipal clerk or deputy clerk, or an inspector that a person casting a ballot as provided under s. 6.981 has died before the date of the election, the clerk, deputy clerk, or inspector, before at least one witness, shall randomly pull a ballot from the ballot bag of the deceased elector's ward from the day on which the deceased elector cast his or her ballot.

AB637-ASA3-AA10,2,3 (b) The tally for all ballots pulled under par. (a) shall be removed from the final tabulated results of the applicable reporting unit. All ballots pulled under par. (a) shall be placed in a separate sealed bag that is marked “Deceased Electors.” The inspectors shall make a notation on the election day inspectors statement incident log identifying the deceased electors and the ballot bag security seal number containing the ballots pulled under par. (a).”.
