SB49-SA4,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB49-SA4,1,2 1. Page 11, line 4: after that line insert:

SB49-SA4,1,3 “ Section 28m. 196.504 (1) (ag) of the statutes is created to read:

SB49-SA4,1,4 196.504 (1) (ag) “Rural area” means any of the following:

SB49-SA4,1,7 1. A city, town, or village in this state that has a population of less than 20,000 and that is at least 15 miles from any city, town, or village that has a population of at least 20,000.

SB49-SA4,1,9 2. An area in this state that is not an urbanized area, as defined by the federal bureau of the census.”.

SB49-SA4,1,12 2. Page 11, line 18: delete “$1,500,000." and substitute “ $1,500,000 Not less than 75 percent of the grants awarded in a fiscal year shall be for the construction of broadband infrastructure in rural areas.”.
