AB27-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB27-AA1,1,2 21. Page 3, line 7: after that line insert:
AB27-AA1,1,3 3 Section 1g. 71.93 (1) (a) 9. of the statutes is created to read:
AB27-AA1,1,54 71.93 (1) (a) 9. An amount owed to the public service commission under s.
5196.85 (1), (2), or (2e).
AB27-AA1,1r 6Section 1r. 71.93 (8) (b) 3. of the statutes is amended to read:
AB27-AA1,1,127 71.93 (8) (b) 3. Agreements Except for an agreement with the public service
8commission, agreements
required under subd. 1. shall be completed no later than
9July 1, 2010, except that an agreement may allow a delay or phase-in of referrals.
10An agreement required under subd. 1. shall be completed with the public service
11commission no later than the first day of the 4th month beginning after the effective
12date of this subdivision .... [LRB inserts date].

2page 10, line 11, and substitute:
AB27-AA1,2,3 3 Section 17b. 196.85 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB27-AA1,2,194 196.85 (3) If any public utility, sewerage system, joint local water authority, or
5power district is billed under sub. (1), (2), or (2e) and fails to pay the bill within 30
6180 days or fails to file objections to the bill with the commission, as provided in sub.
7(4), the commission shall transmit to the secretary of administration department of
8revenue
a certified copy of the bill, together with notice of failure to pay the bill, and
9on the same day the commission shall mail by registered mail to the public utility,
10sewerage system, joint local water authority, or power district a copy of the notice
11that it has transmitted to the state treasurer department of revenue. Within 10 days
12after receipt of the notice and certified copy of the bill, the secretary of administration
13shall levy the amount stated on the bill to be due, with interest, by distress and sale
14of any property, including stocks, securities, bank accounts, evidences of debt, and
15accounts receivable belonging to the delinquent public utility, sewerage system, joint
16local water authority, or power district. The levy by distress and sale shall be
17governed by s. 74.10, 1985 stats., except that it shall be made by the secretary of
18administration and that goods and chattels anywhere within the state may be levied
19upon.
AB27-AA1,17e 20Section 17e. 196.85 (4) (d) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB27-AA1,3,921 196.85 (4) (d) If any bill against which objections have been filed is not paid
22within 10 days after notice of a finding that the objections have been overruled and
23disallowed by the commission has been mailed to the objector as provided in this
24subsection, the commission shall give notice of the delinquency to the secretary of

department of revenue and to the objector, in the manner provided
2in sub. (3). The secretary of administration department of revenue shall then
3proceed to collect the amount of the delinquent bill as provided in sub. (3). If an
4amended bill is not paid within 10 days after a copy of the amended bill is mailed to
5the objector by registered mail, the commission shall notify the secretary of
6administration
department of revenue and the objector as in the case of delinquency
7in the payment of an original bill. The secretary of administration department of
8revenue
shall then proceed to collect the amount of the amended bill as provided in
9the case of an original bill.”.
