AB720-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB720-AA1,1,4 21. Page 1, line 3: after “personnel" insert “, extending the time limit for
3emergency rule procedures, providing an exemption from emergency rule
4procedures,".
AB720-AA1,1,5 52. Page 5, line 2: after that line insert:
AB720-AA1,1,7 6(5) The department may promulgate any rules necessary for the
7administration of this section.”.
AB720-AA1,1,8 83. Page 6, line 3: after that line insert:
AB720-AA1,1,9 9 Section 6. Nonstatutory provisions.
AB720-AA1,2,5 10(1) The department of safety and professional services may promulgate
11emergency rules under s. 227.24 to implement s. 440.077 (5). Notwithstanding s.
12227.24 (1) (c) and (2), emergency rules promulgated under this subsection remain in
13effect until December 1, 2023, or the date on which permanent rules take effect,

1whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding s. 227.24 (1) (a) and (3), the department of
2safety and professional services is not required to provide evidence that
3promulgating a rule under this subsection as emergency rules is necessary for the
4preservation of public peace, health, safety, or welfare and is not required to provide
5a finding of emergency for a rule promulgated under this subsection.
AB720-AA1,2,14 6(2) The medical examining board may promulgate emergency rules under s.
7227.24 to establish minimum standards for military medical personnel under s.
8448.40 (1m). Notwithstanding s. 227.24 (1) (c) and (2), emergency rules promulgated
9under this subsection remain in effect until December 1, 2023, or the date on which
10permanent rules take effect, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding s. 227.24 (1) (a)
11and (3), the medical examining board is not required to provide evidence that
12promulgating a rule under this subsection as emergency rules is necessary for the
13preservation of public peace, health, safety, or welfare and is not required to provide
14a finding of emergency for a rule promulgated under this subsection.”.
AB720-AA1,2,15 154. Page 6, line 4: delete lines 4 to 6 and substitute:
AB720-AA1,2,17 16 Section 7. Effective dates. This act takes effect on April 2, 2022, or on the
17day after publication, whichever is later, except as follows:
AB720-AA1,2,18 18(1) Section 6 of this act takes effect on the day after publication.”.
