SENATE AMENDMENT 1, TO SENATE BILL 1012

SB1012-SA1,1,1 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:

SB1012-SA1,1,2 1. Page 1, line 2: after “language arts" insert “and making an appropriation".

SB1012-SA1,1,3 2. Page 2, line 1: before that line insert:

SB1012-SA1,1,5 “ Section 1e. 20.005 (3) (schedule) of the statutes: at the appropriate place, insert the following amounts for the purposes indicated: - See PDF for table

SB1012-SA1,1m Section 1m. 20.255 (2) (at) of the statutes is created to read:

SB1012-SA1,2,3 20.255 (2) (at) Literacy acceleration grants. As a continuing appropriation, the amounts in the schedule for grants under 2021 Wisconsin Act .... (this act), section (1) (b).

SB1012-SA1,1s Section 1s. 20.255 (2) (at) of the statutes, as created by 2021 Wisconsin Act .... (this act), is repealed.”.

SB1012-SA1,2,8 3. Page 2, line 15: delete the material beginning with “Of the moneys" and ending with “under this paragraph" on line 19 and substitute “From the appropriation under s. 20.255 (2) (at)”.

SB1012-SA1,2,9 4. Page 4, line 15: after that line insert:

SB1012-SA1,2,11 “ Section 2. Effective dates. This act takes effect on the day after publication, except as follows:

SB1012-SA1,2,12 (1) The repeal of s. 20.255 (2) (at) takes effect on July 1, 2024.”.
