(4) The department shall provide grants to the governing bodies of
5federally recognized American Indian tribes and bands from the appropriation
6under s. 20.485 (2) (km) or (vu) if that governing body enters into an agreement with
7the department regarding the creation, goals, and objectives of a tribal veterans
8service officer, appoints a veteran to act as a tribal veterans service officer, and gives
9that veteran duties similar to the duties described in s. 45.80 (5), except that the
10veteran shall report to the governing body of the tribe or band. The department may
11make annual grants in an amount not to exceed
$15,000 $25,000 per grant under this
12subsection and shall promulgate rules to implement this subsection.”.

3fiscal year 2021-22 is increased by $110,000 to provide grants under s. 45.82 (4). In
4the schedule under s. 20.005 (3) for the appropriation to the department of veterans
5affairs under s. 20.485 (2) (vu), the dollar amount for fiscal year 2022-23 is increased
6by $110,000 to provide grants under s. 45.82 (4).”.
