AB567-AA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
AB567-AA1,1,3 21. Page 7, line 15: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with
3page 8, line 10.
AB567-AA1,1,4 42. Page 15, line 14: delete “be" and substitute “begin being".
AB567-AA1,1,6 53. Page 16, line 15: after “for" insert “processing ballots through automatic
6tabulating equipment if applicable and".
AB567-AA1,1,8 74. Page 16, line 17: delete the material beginning with that line and ending
8with page 17, line 12, and substitute:
AB567-AA1,2,7 9“(d) When the meeting of the election inspectors recesses on the day before the
10election, the election inspectors shall secure the ballots and envelopes in one or more
11bags or containers sealed with tamper-evident security seals and housed in a
12double-lock location such as a locked cabinet inside a locked office. Before resuming
13the canvassing of absentee ballots on election day, the election inspectors shall check

1and record the status of each tamper-evident seal. The election inspectors shall
2immediately notify the commission of any evidence of tampering. If the election
3inspectors discover evidence of tampering, the commission shall verify the accuracy
4of the absentee ballot count in the municipality in the election by ordering the
5municipality to conduct a recount after the election of all absentee ballots cast in the
6municipality in the election. The commission's order shall establish procedures for
7the recount consistent with s. 9.01.
AB567-AA1,2,108 (e) Absentee ballots canvassed under this subsection may not be processed
9through automatic tabulating equipment and votes may not be tallied until after the
10polls close on election day.”.

17ballots and envelopes in one or more bags or containers sealed with tamper-evident
18security seals and housed in a double-lock location such as a locked cabinet inside
19a locked office. Before resuming the canvassing of absentee ballots on election day,
20the board of absentee ballot canvassers shall check and record the status of each
21tamper-evident seal. The board of absentee ballot canvassers shall immediately
22notify the commission of any evidence of tampering. If the board of absentee ballot
23canvassers discovers evidence of tampering, the commission shall verify the
