SB257-SSA1-SA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the substitute amendment as follows:
SB257-SSA1-SA1,1,3 21. Page 2, line 17: after “policies" insert “and infection prevention and control
3protocols".
SB257-SSA1-SA1,1,5 42. Page 2, line 24: delete the material beginning with that line and ending with
5“communicate." on page 3, line 2, and substitute:
SB257-SSA1-SA1,1,6 6“c. The resident is nearing end of life.
SB257-SSA1-SA1,1,107 d. In the judgment of the attending health care professional, as defined in s.
8154.01 (1r), the benefits of the presence of the essential visitor outweighs the
9potential negative impacts that the essential visitor's presence might have on other
10patients, visitors, and staff in the assisted living facility or nursing home.”.

1“(b) An assisted living facility or a nursing home may deny visitation with a
2resident to any member of the clergy or essential visitor if any of the following
3applies:
SB257-SSA1-SA1,2,74 1. The member of the clergy or essential visitor refuses to comply with any
5policies of the assisted living facility or nursing home that are in place to protect the
6health and safety of the member of the clergy or essential visitor, other visitors,
7residents, and staff in the assisted living facility or nursing home.
SB257-SSA1-SA1,2,118 2. It is unknown if the member of the clergy or essential visitor is contagious
9with a communicable disease that poses a substantial risk to others and adequate
10precautions are not available to reasonably prevent the member of the clergy or
11essential visitor from infecting others at the assisted living facility or nursing home.

13disease that poses a substantial risk to others and adequate precautions are not
