TO SENATE BILL 788

SB788-SA1,1,11 At the locations indicated, amend the bill as follows:
SB788-SA1,1,3 21. Page 1, line 2: after “chiropractors" insert “and creating administrative
3rules related to the delegation of adjunctive services by chiropractors".
SB788-SA1,1,4 42. Page 2, line 7: after that line insert:
SB788-SA1,1,5 5 Section 2m. Chir 10.024 of the administrative code is created to read:
SB788-SA1,1,9 6Chir 10.024 Delegation of adjunctive services to individuals trained
7as medical assistants.
A chiropractor may delegate the performance of an
8adjunctive service to an individual described under s. 446.02 (7) (a) 3., Stats., if all
9of the following conditions are met:
SB788-SA1,1,11 10(1) The individual is qualified, through education, training, or experience, to
11perform the adjunctive service.
SB788-SA1,1,13 12(2) The chiropractor maintains records or ensures the chiropractor's employer
13maintains records that verify the individual's training is current.

1(3) The chiropractor exercises direct, on-premises supervision of the
2individual performing the delegated adjunctive service.
SB788-SA1,2,4 3(4) The chiropractor retains ultimate responsibility for the manner and quality
4of the service.”.
SB788-SA1,2,5 53. Page 2, line 8: delete lines 8 to 10 and substitute:
SB788-SA1,2,7 6 Section 3. Effective dates. This act takes effect on the first day of the 4th
7month beginning after publication, except as follows:
SB788-SA1,2,9 8(1) Administrative rules. The treatment of administrative rules takes effect
9as provided in s. 227.265.”.
