Veterans
Under current law, DVA may admit to a veterans home a person who is a veteran and meets certain other eligibility requirements. One of those eligibility requirements is that the person has care needs that the veterans home is able to provide. The statutes specifically list chronic alcoholism, drug addiction, psychosis, or active tuberculosis as such care needs.
This bill removes the reference in the statutes to chronic alcoholism, drug addiction, psychosis, or active tuberculosis.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
Section
1. 45.51 (2) (b) 5. of the statutes is amended to read:
45.51 (2) (b) 5. Has care needs that the veterans home is able to provide within the resources allocated for the care of members of the veterans home
, including chronic alcoholism, drug addiction, psychosis, or active tuberculosis.
