Agriculture
Under current law, the UW Extension makes grants from the agricultural chemical cleanup fund to operators of discovery farms for research and outreach activities. Discovery farms are private farms that participate in the Wisconsin agricultural stewardship initiative, the purpose of which is to develop and promote environmentally sound and profitable farming practices. This bill changes the funding source for the grants to the agrichemical management fund.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
Section
1. 20.285 (1) (qr) of the statutes is amended to read:
20.285 (1) (qr) Discovery farm grants. From the agricultural chemical cleanup agrichemical management fund, the amounts in the schedule for making grants under s. 36.25 (47).
