Defining “multijurisdictional” for the purposes of the lottery
Under current law, the state is authorized to operate a state lottery, which includes participation in a multijurisdictional lottery. Under current law, “multijurisdictional” is defined to include any U.S. state or territory, Canada, or any Canadian province. This bill changes the definition of “multijurisdictional,” for the purposes of the state lottery, to include any other country or nation.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:
Section
1. 565.01 (4f) of the statutes is amended to read:
565.01 (4f) “Multijurisdictional" means pertaining to another state of the United States of America, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or any territory or possession of the United States of America or, the government of Canada or any province thereof, or any other country or nation.
