ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and public service of Fred Reger.
Whereas, Fred Reger was born on April 14, 1916, in Clare, Michigan, and died on September 12, 1994, in Merrill; and
Whereas, he was a graduate of Merrill High School and Lincoln County Teachers College; and
Whereas, he was the mayor of Merrill from 1946 to 1948, a member of the Merrill City Council and the Lincoln County Board and a member of the Lincoln County Teachers College Board; and
Whereas, he was elected to the assembly in 1962 and served during the 1963-64 session on the Taxation Committee, the Education Committee and the Legislative Council Election Laws Committee; and
Whereas, Mr. Reger was also an insurance agent and a grade school teacher; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the legislature of the state of Wisconsin salute the many years of public service that Fred Reger rendered in a number of positions, express their sorrow at his death and extend their condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint resolution to Mr. Reger's wife, Ena, and to his daughters, Gayla Reger and Ellen Reger.
