1995 Assembly Joint Resolution 66
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and public service of Steve Cullen.
Whereas, Steve Cullen was born on January 5, 1955, in Evanston, Illinois, and died on October 12, 1995, in Cincinnati, Ohio; and
Whereas, he graduated from Milwaukee Washington High School and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee; and
Whereas, he was elected to the Milwaukee Common Council in 1980 and reelected in 1984 and 1988; and
Whereas, he served on many committees and boards, including the MECCA Board, and as chairman of the Common Council Finance and Personnel Committee; and
Whereas, his tenure was marked by many accomplishments; such as the drafting, selecting and awarding of the first cable television franchise, reorganization of city government and leadership on the city budget; and
Whereas, Steve is survived by his wife, Gael, and their 4 beautiful daughters; Annie, Kathleen, Molly and Colleen; as well as his mother, Beatrice, and 5 brothers and sisters; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the legislature of the state of Wisconsin commend the years of devoted public service that Steve Cullen performed for this state and the city of Milwaukee, express their sorrow at his death and extend their condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint resolution to Steve Cullen's wife, Gael Garbarino Cullen, and to his daughters; Annie, Kathleen, Molly and Colleen.
