ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: proclaiming National Garden Week in Wisconsin.
Whereas, gardening is an illustration of respect and care for our environment and natural resources; and
Whereas, the gardeners and growers of the state of Wisconsin produce fruits and vegetables that provide nutritional sustenance for our citizens; and
Whereas, these gardeners work diligently to beautify our communities by the propagation of trees, flowers and ornamentals; and
Whereas, our gardeners help to preserve our American traditions in an expression of independence, creativity and initiative; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the legislature of the state of Wisconsin proclaim June 2 to June 8, 1996, as "National Garden Week in Wisconsin".
