1997 Assembly Joint Resolution 63
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and public service of Richard Lynch.
Whereas, Richard Lynch was born in Milwaukee on June 11, 1921, and died in Milwaukee on May 30, 1997; and
Whereas, Mr. Lynch was a graduate of West Allis High School; and
Whereas, Mr. Lynch served for 3 years and 3 months overseas in the U.S. army during World War II; and
Whereas, he was elected to the assembly in 1962, 1964 and 1966; and
Whereas, during his tenure in the assembly he served on the Excise and Fees Committee, the Highways Committee and the Committee on Municipalities and was the secretary of the Legislative Council Highway Advisory Committee; and
Whereas, Mr. Lynch also served for 32 years in the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin legislature commend the many decades of public service that Richard Lynch provided to the residents of Milwaukee County and this state, express their sorrow at his death and extend their condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
Resolved That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint resolution to Mr. Lynch's wife, Beverly, and to his children; Larry Lynch, Jerry Lynch, Marilyn Colegrove, Colleen Lemberg, Robin Gilgenbach, David Klaves and Lisa Klien.
