ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: proclaiming Blue and White Sunday.
Whereas, the state of Wisconsin has created laws to protect the rights, property, safety and well-being of each of its citizens; and
Whereas, the enforcement of these laws is entrusted to officers of the law who have chosen to dedicate their lives to serving and protecting their fellow citizens; and
Whereas, each day these officers put their lives on the line to uphold their duty to serve and protect their communities; and
Whereas, these individuals deserve our appreciation and respect for the protection they provide and for their dedication, integrity and participation within our communities; and
Whereas, blue symbolizes law enforcement and white symbolizes the prayers of the citizenry to keep these officers safe from harm; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin legislature proclaim the third Sunday in September "Blue and White Sunday".
