ENGROSSED RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and public service of Michael Nordin.
Whereas, Michael Nordin was born on June 22, 1943, in Escanaba, Michigan to Milton and Clarice Nordin; and
Whereas, Michael served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965 and received his Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of San Francisco; and
Whereas, on February 3, 1968, he was united in matrimony to Patricia Corbett in Escanaba, Michigan, and together they had 2 children, Kelly and Colleen; and
Whereas, Michael was presently serving the people of his community as chief of the Sturgeon Bay Police Department and had served in that position since December 1980; and
Whereas, Michael is survived by his wife and by his 2 daughters, Kelly and Colleen, his mother, Clarice Nordin, and his 2 brothers, David and Tom; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, That the members of the Wisconsin assembly thank Michael Nordin for his service to the people of his community and extend heart-felt condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this resolution to Mr. Nordin's wife and family.
