2001 Assembly Joint Resolution 60
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: commending the President of the United States, the United States Congress, the United States armed forces, and the servicemen and servicewomen called into duty in connection with Operation Enduring Freedom.
Whereas, on September 11, 2001, terrorists carried out a vicious and despicable act of war upon the United States; and
Whereas, the Wisconsin Legislature condemns these acts of war; and
Whereas, the United States and all nations of the world must unite in their efforts to combat the threat of terrorism and bring to justice terrorists and the nations that harbor their activities; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the Wisconsin Legislature commends the President of the United States and the members of Congress, especially members of the Wisconsin congressional delegation, for helping to unite the nation behind our common goal of ridding the world of the scourge of terrorism; and, be it further
Resolved, That the Wisconsin Legislature commends the armed forces of the United States and the servicemen and servicewomen, especially all the servicemen and servicewomen of Wisconsin, who may be called into active duty to participate in Operation Enduring Freedom both here and abroad; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall transmit a copy of this joint resolution to the President of the United States and to each member of the Wisconsin congressional delegation.
