2001 Assembly Resolution 45
ENGROSSED RESOLUTION
Relating to: honoring members of the Wisconsin assembly who are military veterans and those who continue to serve the military while holding a public office.
Whereas, many representatives to the Wisconsin assembly have served in the U.S. Armed Forces and many continue to serve in the military reserves and the National Guard; and
Whereas, those representatives who both hold a public office and who serve in the military reserves or in the National Guard make extra commitments of time and dedication; and
Whereas, dual service in public office and as a member of the reserves or the National Guard also requires a commitment by each individual's family; and
Whereas, such service would not be possible without the unwavering support of these families; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, That the members of the Wisconsin assembly proclaim November 8 as the day to honor those members who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, those who continue to serve in the military reserves or the National Guard, and the families who support their efforts.
